BET      "baruch hu… blessed is he"

“Baruch hu u-varuchsh’mo” means “Blessed is He and blessed is His name.” The initial letter, bet, is an ‘iconoscape’ filled with symbols pertaining to the people of Israel, to G-d’s largesse, and to organic and spiritual growth –all the blessings that Hashem has heaped upon us.

Suggestions of rimonim (pomegranates) both as fruits and Torah ornaments, the Tablets of the Law, the menorah, Stars of David, stylized palm trees (providers of food and shelter) and other symbols are included. The streamers tie the large initial letter to the smaller ones just as our people are connected to each other and to Hashem.

This serigraph expresses gratitude to G-d for His blessings.
