TET     "tal… dew"

The introductory words of the beautiful prayer for the dew recited on the first day of Passover translate: “Dew – give it to favor your land.”

The initial letter, tet, is here designed to contain “the fruit of the earth” mentioned in the prayer and including grain, figs, grapes, citrus and the date palm.

The rimonim, Torah finals, at the top of the letter represent pomegranates, the literal meaning of rimonim.

The seven-branched menorah and Stars of David appear in reference to the nation. To one side of the tet are vine motifs. The bottom part of the border is a band of palmettos, while the undulating forms of the sides and top symbolize growth.
